Atty. Edgardo B. Espiritu. U.P. Alumni Association has named him as its Most Distinguished Alumnus. He stands out among the Distinguished Alumni Awardees for this year.

Having been served prestigious banks such as the Metropolitan Bank and Trust, Co., as its president before. International Bank of California, Philippine National Bank, Westmont Bank and the First, Philippine Fund.

Graduated from The University of the Philippines College of Law in 1958, where after, did serve as the government as the Secretary of the Department of Finance, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, and Iceland. Thus qualifying Atty. Edgardo to be a recipient to the Most Distinguished Alumnus, having to attain an international prestige which benefited the University of the Philippines and the country.
